• Founding and successfully managing Alexander Harris throughout its 17 year history.  The firm was considered to be one of the top medical negligence firms in the UK.
• Achieving national recognition for her medico-legal work, not only successes for clients, but achieving major changes within the healthcare system to provide greater patient safety.
• Overturning the decision of the then Secretary of State for Health to hold the Harold Shipman inquiry in private.  A public inquiry was subsequently held under Dame Janet Smith. 
• Recovering tens of millions of pounds in compensation for clients across all medical disciplines and particularly in the areas of anaesthetics, obstetrics and gynaecology.
• Setting up the first self-funded structured compensation settlement.
• Setting up and managing a media management team at Alexander Harris to protect the interests of clients who were in the public eye.
• Developing an award-winning website providing educational material on all aspects of medico-legal matters.
• Assisting the Lord Chancellor’s office in developing the ‘no win no fee’ structure and representing the interests of claimants at a press conference with the legal press to launch the concept.
• Assisting the Law Society to set up the Law Society’s clinical negligence specialist panel and sitting on its panel as a member.

• Setting up and successfully managing Alexander Macdonald LLP with business partner Alastair MacDonald, achieving excellent client feedback.
• As a self-employed business consultant, helping a number of prestigious clients to develop their businesses and achieve growth. 

Broadcasting

• Researching, writing and presenting two documentaries for BBC Radio 4, entitled ‘Public Inquiries’ and ‘Could Shipman Happen Again?’, both of which attracted a high level of public and media interest and excellent feedback.
